2013年平遥摄影大展之展览“森林Forest”

    作品简介:

    在新闻摄影记者的职业生涯期间，德鲁曾游历40多个国家，经历人生百态。丰富的人生经历深深影响了他的创作，也使其作品给人以强烈的叙事感和视觉冲击力。德鲁钟爱历史，深受拉斐尔前派画家的影响。这一点在最新作品《森林》系列中表现尤甚。在世界各地取景拍摄中，德鲁探索着人与环境、人与动物之间的关系，同时也不断挖掘自然之美、女性之美。  

    Drew started his career as a photojournalist travelling to over 40 countries，where his experiences on the front lines of life have significantly influenced his work，bringing a strong narrative and cinemati feel to his imagery. Drew’s other passion is history and in particular the pre-raphaelite masters of painting，whose influence can be seen in his latest series ‘The Forest’.Shot on location around the world，Drew explores our relationship with the environment and the animal kingdom as well as the beauty of nature and the female form.

   “我非常喜欢自然环境和野外生活，因此我拍摄了这组照片。最初我想拍摄一个置身在美丽大自然中的漂亮女子。后来，我又把动物融入我的想法，拍摄了美丽女子与动物和谐相处的画面。我期望观众能够感受到图中三个关键要素：自然，人类和动物的美丽和脆弱，以及这三者之间的关系。我选择森林做背景，一方面因为我对树林情有独钟，另一方面因为树木繁茂的地区为我的拍摄提供了完美的画布。树木纵深的阴影和光线为呈现了最佳的画面效果。”            -----德鲁·加德纳

   “I have a deep love of the environment and the outdoors and I wanted to shoot a series based on this. I came up with the idea of a beautiful woman surrounded by the beauty of nature. I then thought I’d take it a step further and have the beautiful woman interacting with a live animal. I wanted the end result to encourage the viewer to consider both the beauty and the fragility of all three key elements in the picture: nature, human beings and the animals and our own relationships with all three. I chose the forest as a backdrop partly because I have always had a love of trees and also because wooded areas provide the perfect canvas to work with. Allowing me to create great depth of shadows and the lighting becomes a narrative in itself.”
